Q: What is the minimum age requirement to rent a paddle board from Celilo Paddle Company?
A: Paddlers must be at least 12 years old. Any paddlers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Q: Can I take my child on my rental board with me?
A: Yes! A child 5 years and older may sit on a stand up paddle board with an adult. -The child MUST be wearing a US Coast Guard approved personal flotation device.
Q: What kinds of wildlife might I encounter on my paddle?
A: The Columbia River attracts all kinds of wild birds and marine life depending on the season. Hawks, bald and golden eagles, pelicans, seagulls, blue herons, hooded merganser, and geese have all been spotted on the river islands and along the banks of the Columbia River. Sea lions and seals have also been seen from time to time.
Q: What do I need to bring when I rent my paddle board?
A: You only need to bring whatever you would normally bring for a fun day at the beach. We'll provide the paddle board, a personal flotation device, and the paddle.
Q: Do I HAVE to wear my life jacket?
A: Yes. Oregon state law requires that everyone riding a stand up paddle board must wear a personal flotation device.
Q: Are the boards heavy?
